Why should you consider lab-grown diamonds? Here are four reasons why. 

1. They’re ethical
   As the name suggests, these diamonds are grown in a laboratory using one of two methods. They are not mined out of the ground and so there is no direct environmental impact to the earth, and no societal impact from the possible trade of conflict diamonds. 
   
2. They’re cheaper
   Lab-grown diamonds cost a fraction of what real mined diamonds do. They are much more affordable and can really open up what you can get for your budget. You don’t have to compromise on size or design, and you don’t need to pick one item over another. 
   
3. They’re indistinguishable to the naked eye 
   You can purchase diamonds and thus jewellery that looks just as beautiful and eye catching as the real thing. And the best thing of all, no one will be able to tell the difference between lab-grown and real diamonds.
   
4. Authenticity certificates
   Just like real diamonds, authentic lab-grown diamonds come with a certificate of authenticity. These are issued by independent gemology bodies like the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
